Routine Surgical Procedures

All procedures performed in our clinic are performed in a dedicated operatory where only sterile procedures are performed.  All personnel involved in surgery wear caps, masks, gowns and gloves.  Patients are clipped and prepped beforehand in a separate room.  Full anesthetic monitoring takes place from the moment anesthetic is given to when your pet awakens from anesthesia. Single use sterile human grade suture material is used.  All of our equipment and procedures are in accordance with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) standards which we voluntarily uphold. Comprehensive pain management is used for all surgical cases.

The following procedures are routinely performed in our clinic by our veterinarians:

• Ovariohysterectomy (spays) in female pets
